Sitting pretty

Kassandra loves to sit up but it has been so hard to do on her own.  Up until now that is.  I have been showing her how she can use her arms to help her sit up.  I think it's finally working!  She is so happy to make this big leap!

I could not resist this outfit, but by the time she got to wear it she was almost out of it.  (She basically skipped the 6 month size).   So I figured I better get a few pictures of her in it since I did buy it for her.  I love the tutu!

Kassandra and Mommy go wild in Cali

Kassandra and I went to California for the weekend.  Not only did this give daddy a break but it allowed us to go the the Lobster fest (mommy's new favorite event) as well as hang out with mommy's best-ies!

Apparently we wore out Kassandra and Jayden

Jayvon on the other hand had a great time, especially with the icee.
It got pretty crowded.  But how could it not.  The lobster was fantastic!

Josie took us to get Kassandra's ears pierced.  Yes I had to grill the lady, she looked young.  But she did such a great job with Kassandra, and she liked the lady... at first.

Keeping Kassasndra calm.  She has no idea what is about to happen.
 Mommy loves you!
 What is going on???
And now it begins... (and we are only marking her ears)
Now she doesn't mind so much.  She loves her pass
Oh boy!  Here we go!  The screaming begins...

Somebody rescue me.  I didn't like what just happened to me!
Do you really think this bow will fix what you have done to me?  Now my ears hurt and I look silly!
 Nana with the Grandkids

As our last adventure we went to Dick and Diane's 50th Wedding Anniversary.  50 years ago they had their reception at Dunsmore Park, so how fitting to meet there 50 years later.  It was a great time!  I am so happy that Kassandra and I were able to share in their celebration.

Then and now

Mike and his Fiance Emily

Jason and his daughter Daisy

 Great Grandparents

Pictures of their life together                                              The label that Tom made.
 Mike gave the toast
  They even had a pinata.

These balloons were decorations.  After the event I went and passed some out to the kids at the park (no strings attached lol).  I guess because it came from someone who didn't look like I was trying to take a kid the parents allowed it.

Oh no!!!!
And finally it is time to say goodbye to California.  Time to get home to daddy as he has missed his girls.  Kassandra can't wait!

First time with a sippy cup

This is Kassandra's first experience with a sippy cup.  She understands to put it in her mouth but she doesn't understand that she needs to raise the cup so that the liquid comes out.

Let's try this spoon thing again

Kassandra was introduced to the stage 1 foods and the spoon.  She is getting the hang of it and really seems to love the food.

Big girl bath!

Kassandra doesn't fit in her baby bath tub anymore because she is to tall!  We switched to the chair.  Although she was a little unsure of sitting up at first, she has decided that she loves the freedom.

Family trip to AZ

We went on our first Family trip to Arizona to visit Mark, Andrea and the kids, Mark D, Abby, Joe, and Zach.  Andrea went to school with Tom's sister Tracy.  Of course as you would expect it was their job to pick on Tom (ha, ha, ha).  Thanks to facebook Tom and Andrea found each other and then Andrea and I became friends and started talking.  I felt like I knew them before I meet them for the first time.

Lake Mead

Kassandra is so excited to go!

No, he's not sleeping, I promise!
Not looking forward to traveling on this next time we go!

Setting up for the party

Mark feeding Kassandra
Andrea feeding Kassandra
Hey Abby, won't you share with me???

Kassandra does a great job of blowing razz's.  But SOMEONE (I won't mention who, but it was probably everyone we stayed with) taught Kassandra that she should blow razz's when I feed her food. Those sitting by her had to cover their food! We were laughing so hard that Kassandra put on an encore for us.
Sleepy baby!
I took Boomer on an early morning walk.  It was so pretty and perfect out that I had to grab my camera.
This says it all!!! Out of way place.  I so agree.

We made a pitstop to feed the family.  Kassandra would have preferred our cheeseburger and fries.

Ok, I'm ready to go home.  Get in the car now, I may have an issue reaching the pedals but I'm driving!
